Description
A series of 1 peseta bank notes issued by Olot Municipal Council and printed by Indústries Gràfiques Seix i Barral in Barcelona in 1937 during the Spanish Civil War. Legal tender issued in two runs of 50,000 notes each (1st March and 23rd June 1937). On the reverse side of the notes there is a reproduction of an Olot landscape by the painter Joaquim Vayreda drawn by Xavier Nogués. These bank notes were donated by Antònio Piera Comas from the Friends of the Museums of Catalonia.
