Description
This is one of Nogués’ most important horse-racing prints. The artist has captured the personality of each of the figures featured in the scene. Particularly noteworthy is the technically accomplished relationship between light and shade, the graceful lines and the judicious use of areas of white, which help balance out the composition. We are including a print from the Palau Antiguitats gallery signed in pencil and dated 1936 with the dedication “al amic florit” [to my friend Florit] (December 2022).
