Description
Glass with the figure of a drunken man jumping and drinking from a bottle. Part of a set of glasses. Two examples of this glass have been found. One was exhibited at the Palau Antiguitats, bearing the inscription “Nogués p. / Crespo f. 10 / 8” on the base (now in a private collection). Another example was found at Clavell & Morgades, with the inscription “Nogués p. 7 / Crespo f. 10”.The photograph shows the glass from the Clavell & Morgades gallery, as it is the best available image of the piece. The information in the fields about exhibitions and the bibliography refer to the glass from the Palau Antiguitats.

With the collaboration of Conxa Domènech. Xavier Nogués is the author of the drawings and, sometimes, also of the pictorial transposition with enamel on the glass, Ricard Crespo was responsible for the firing of the pieces and Conxa Domènech de Crespo who also traced and reviewed Nogués’ drawings. The degree of Xavier Nogués’ direct participation is especially evident in the finishes and when compared with the original drawings.
