Description
Glazed ceramic (white porcelain) figurine made by Josep Granyer from a drawing by Xavier Nogués. There seems to have been an initial version made of earthenware which was used to produce moulds to make subsequent versions in porcelain. The painted decorations on each piece are different. This one is dated 1935 and bears the initials of both artists on the base. It was part of a pair entitled Barcelona couple. The other figurine was of a man with an umbrella. This piece is owned by the Granyer family.
