Description
The panel on one of the walls of the tower at the entrance to the Santa Clotilde estate depicts the Three Graces. They are bearing aloft one of the boats that take part in the maritime procession marking the feast day of Saint Christina (Santa Cristina), the patron saint of Lloret de Mar, held on 24th July. The image of the saint forms the centrepiece of the group. Nogués depicts one of the most emotional moments of the procession: when the sanctuary of Sant Pere del Bosc comes into view from the sea, the people in the boats raise their oars and sing Salve Regina in honour of Our Lady of Grace.
Inside the scroll at the top we read the name of the house (“SANTA CLOTILDE”) and inside the one at the bottom there is a date (“30 Set. 1930”) referring to the date building work on the main house began.

Notes
The panel is based on a drawing by Domènec Carles which Xavier Nogués transferred to the tiles.
The finished panel was displayed in the Saló Teatre galleries at the cinema “La Talia Lloretenca” (Lloret de Mar) from 11th to 15th July 1934, before being installed at Santa Clotilde.
In addition to the series of photographs showing what the panel looks like now, we have included a photograph showing the condition of the panel in 1976.
