Description
A wonderful story (we may never know whether it was intended for adults or children) by the writer Josep Carner, with brilliant satirical illustrations by Xavier Nogués. Barcelona, Editorial Muntañola, S.A., 1917. 8 leaves with 7 illustrations by Nogués, one of them occupying a double page. Also includes two black-and-white tailpiece illustrations.

Notes
The Fundació Palau in Caldes d’Estrac holds a few individual lithographs (nos. 1,157 and 1,158). Copies have also been identified at the Barcelona galleries, Palau Antiguitats and Francesc Mestre. The accompanying photographs are from the first edition (1917), preserved in the library at the MNAC.
