Description

Part of a set of six champagne glasses. A variant of another set that does not have a garland of flowers on the sides. An identical glass is on display at the Museu Maricel in Sitges (R. 1.516), on permanent loan from the Catalan government since 1/12/2014 (previously part of the Salvador Riera collection). Its measurements vary slightly: 12 x 3.5 cm diameter. Rights to the second image. Palau Antiguitats.

With the collaboration of Conxa Domènech. Xavier Nogués is the author of the drawings and, sometimes, also of the pictorial transposition with enamel on the glass, Ricard Crespo was responsible for the firing of the pieces and Conxa Domènech de Crespo who also traced and reviewed Nogués’ drawings. The degree of Xavier Nogués’ direct participation is especially evident in the finishes and when compared with the original drawings.
