There are four models of decorated mirrors. They are all the same size and have the same shape, consisting of four cut, enamelled sections which frame the central mirror. Copies of these pieces were made but were not numbered. The mirrors first appeared in the catalogue for the Exposició d’esmaltats sobre vidre de Ricard Crespo, originals de Xavier Nogués i Manuel Humbert held at the Galeries Laietanes on 14th April 1928. These two pieces were listed in the catalogue with the numbers 51 and 52.

Notes

With the collaboration of Conxa Domènech. Xavier Nogués is the author of the drawings and, sometimes, also of the pictorial transposition with enamel on the glass, Ricard Crespo was responsible for the firing of the pieces and Conxa Domènech de Crespo who also traced and reviewed Nogués’ drawings. The degree of Xavier Nogués’ direct participation is especially evident in the finishes and when compared with the original drawings.
