Description

This drawing was sold at the special auction “Private Collection of Paintings,” held at Bonanova Subastas on 21st December 2020. It consisted of 85 lots and this work was number 63 (Untitled). The figures –a soldier, who is probably German, with his trademark spiked helmet, and a man with a moustache wearing a Turkish fez– suggest the picture is set during the First World War. Nogués produced several works on a military theme, such as the ones published in the magazine Ibèria (c. 1917).
