Poster advertising two performances of the comic opera El Giravolt de Maig at the Teatro Catalán Novedades on 6th and 9th November 1928, with costume design and sets by Xavier Nogués from a text by Josep Carner and with music by Eduard Toldrà. (Fons Manuel Clausells. Doc. 5887; FC45 Concerts (I)).

Manuel Clausells was the secretary of the Associació Música Da Camera. The artist Joan Abelló purchased his entire music archive from a Barcelona antiques dealer and since 2006, it has been the property of the Manuel Clausells Archive Documentation Centre at the Museu Municipal Joan Abelló in Mollet del Vallès. The documents held in the archive are an invaluable resource that gives us an in-depth insight into Barcelona’s music scene in the early 20th century. Since 2024, the Orfeó Català Documentation Centre (CEDOC), working with the Museu Abelló, has been processing and digitising the Manuel Clausells archive and putting its contents online.
