Description

Xavier Nogués produced a number of covers for the programmes for the concerts staged by the Associació Música “da Càmera” de Barcelona at the Palau de la Música for the 1932-1933 season. They were printed by the Institut Gràfic Oliva in Vilanova i la Geltrú in 1932.
The program for the eleventh concert features a standing male figure and is based on a preparatory drawing for the mural in the mayor’s office at Barcelona City Hall, titled In Praise of Mr Esteve. (Fons Manuel Clausells. Doc. 4.659; FC17 Arxiu Clausells – Carpetes Monogràfiques N-S (I)).
