Description

Xavier Nogués produced a number of covers for the programmes for the concerts staged by the Associació Música “da Càmera” de Barcelona at the Palau de la Música for the 1932-1933 season. They were printed by the Institut Gràfic Oliva in Vilanova i la Geltrú in 1932.
The programme for the third concert features a standing female figure dressed in 19th-century attire and is based on the preparatory drawing for the mural The Power of Barcelona in the mayor’s office at Barcelona City Hall. (Fons Manuel Clausells. Doc. 7.000; FC63 Dossiers 1932-1933).
