Sketch showing musicians sitting on tiered seating and four couples dancing inside a marquee. This composition was later used, with minor variations and additions, in the mural In Praise of Mr Esteve in the mayor’s office at Barcelona City Hall. In the upper right-hand corner there is a blank area where the artist probably pasted an additional sheet of tracing paper to sketch out the figure of the harlequin. Nogués started this decorative grouping in Paris and continued working on it in Barcelona (c. 1928).
